Thinking of changing my calipers from this

to either red or yellow. Anyone already done it? Is powder coating the way to go? Am torn between the two colours so any views would be grateful.

Hi Felix,

Nice colour car! I'm going to get mine done soon but am probably going to get them done a similar Blue to the body colour. The other option for me would be white to compliment the stripes, but I think they would look horribly dirty after only a short time. I believe Graeme36S on here does powder coating and was going to contact him to see what he could offer. For my two penith worth out of the two I think the yellow but I'm not really taken with either to be truthful.
Anyway let us know how you get on.

Andy.

I have the car in the bodyshop at the moment having a nose job (stonechip respray) and am contemplating getting the calipers done. Verdis did used to do this - but I don't think they do the work themselves.

Now... if only I could choose a colour. scratchchin

Not sure about the blue calipers myself

But the car colour is definitely one of the best!

Looks great in red.

I know a place that does powder coating, but are quite far away in Aberdeen. I'm sure you could get a courier to take the calipers though. They really are fantastic and well worth the effort: www.finessecoatings.co.uk/

We paint the calipers, it is using very special paint as the brakes get very very hot. We change £550 inc vat to do all four and they do look stunning. We can even put the lambo writing on them as well. Colours available are, Red, yellow, silver, black and i think white. Call us if interested 01732 835692. It will take a couple of days and the results are very good.

Hope this helps

I prefer the yellow

Whilst you are at it, spend £28 with Lambo and get the clear indicator lenses too

Already have them (old photo), and London Lamborghini charged me £14 the pair plus fitting. Maybe they cocked up on the bill.

I've got a cobalt blue 997 which is a similar colour to your Gallardo. I have red calipers - I think it looks pretty good. Lovely colour combo!

Are the factory coloured calipers painted or anodised? Presonally I think the original colouring looks best. A nice anodised champagne hue might also be tasty if it were available.

hmmm, now knowing you've got clear indicators rather
than amber as in the photo, I think your original colour
will match better than yellow, but that's only my opinion!

Not mine. Although I was in Sittingbourne on Saturday in it.

I think that they are painted/powder coated.
