You little miracle...
Hamann tunes the Ferrari F430 with the "Black Miracle" edition.
German tuning firm Hamann has released a new take on the Ferrari F430. Apart from the usual fettling of lowered suspension, additional body styling and a few extra prancing ponies, it’s presented with a matt finish to the black paintwork.
Although this makes the F430 look like a cross between a Maranello creation and an F-117A Stealthfighter, the contrasting highlights in luminous orange (as shown here), yellow or red do their best to re-attract the attention of passers by and police alike.
The matt effect is created by applying a special foil to the F430’s bodywork; if you tire of the ‘look’ you can simply remove the foil.
Otherwise, the ‘Black Miracle’ gets Hamann’s gullwing door conversion, a body styling kit, a suspension lowering kit and Hamann 20” lightweight wheels. A different exhaust manifold, new sports cats, new exhaust and an ecu re-map liberate an additional 50PS.
Question is - does the foil prevent ‘missile lock’ from Safety Camera vans…

Don't like it, but I've never liked the look of the F430 anyway. I DO like the matt black paintwork, and think the orange isn't a bad contrast, though the GT stripe and orange wheels put it over the top for me. Similar treatment on a modern Lambo might look rather good. Lambos tend to wear OTT better than Ferraris. In my opinion...
EDIT: On second glance, perhaps the wheels can stay. The blackened rear lights look rather nice too. Perhaps I just have no taste...

I'm all for matt black when it is done right:
I'd be interested to know more about that film, how much it costs to have it applied, and how easy it is to maintain. The elise in the pic above cost somewhere north of £5,000 to paint IIRC, and it is VERY hard to keep looking that cool as the paint is very susceptible to damage and can't be waxed in the normal way.
The orange is just misguided and tasteless though.

Im struggling to contain my emthusiasm. No really, I am.
It truely boggles my mind that there are enough ppl around who would pay enough to make it worthwhile for various tuning firms to do this sort of thing. Having got myself involved with somebody who was willing to pay for such attrocities to be committed to a car however, I now know that these ppl do actually exist in the real world.

I quite like it. At least I would if it aws matt black without the orange bits and had black wheels too.
