Can you believe the bit at the end, are Lamborghini really going to launch yet another Gallardo variant?

The word from the factory doug is:

There will be a Lightwieght version of all models and that they will not be limited editions like the SE, they will be proper production orderable models added to the lineup.

I think as long as the car could handle well it could do with shedding a few pounds in all honesty as tracking the car is hard work sometimes.

If the 430LP is better than it, then definitely.

Obviously superleggera doesn't mean super light any more. Only "super light enough for now until the competition kicks arse and then I guess we'll have another go".

Murcielago isn't a track car...so im not with you or Lamborghini, a lighter weight Murci, utterly pointless.

640 with 2WD would also be a complete waste of time, it doesn't have the poise or grace to carry it off & nor would 99% of its drivers. Driving a 640 is an awesome experience but a drivers car..i'm not so sure!
