Has anyone fitted new number plates? I need to fit 2 new ones and have tried pulling the old ones off but feels as if im gonna rip the paint off with them! Is it just a case of using brute force or anyone got any tips? Cheers.

If they are stuck on use a hairdrier to warm them up and they will peel off hopefully without damage.

The back one isn't hard to pull off take your car for a run for 10 mins and it will be quite hot and peel off quite easily. Then hair dryer on the front.....

Good luck :-)

5lb fishing line to cut through the adhesive tape*....then hair dryer and patience for the remains.

  • assuming they're held on with adhesive tape.

I know what you mean. When I removed my front plate I thought the whole bumper was going to come off.

Fortunately for me, I had my car fitted with the Paintshield film before I took delivery 2 years ago, and this made getting the plate off a lot easier.

Hairdryer tip will work a treat.

Host the pictures using image shack or someone or type hosting into google and use someone there.

Then copy the link and paste it into your thread and put [img] at the beginning of the link and [img] at the end of it with no spaces....
