Whats the "Revision D sinthered clutch" ?
Never heard of it....does this version supersede the Type E clutch?
The Revision E clutch is what comes in the 06 Gallardo and onwards. The D version is an upgraded version apparently it is a race clutch...and allegedly "bullet proof" Never heard of it....does this version supersede the Type E clutch?
It does make a BIG difference to how the car feels when changing gear. I'm impressed.....

So can this 'new D sintered clutch' take some proper stick then?
according to the people I have spoken to it is really good, like a proper clutch lol! (I'm so funny)But some guy who I spoke to at Lambo power reckons he has one, and launches it and everything with no issues??!

Is the Revision D Sintered clutch just a racing version of the earlier Type D clutch then?
I thought the clutches went A/B (made from swiss cheese), C (much better), D (better still), E (the latest version).
I thought the same however I was told that D is the "upgrade version" and better than the E - whatever it is called I like it :-)I thought the clutches went A/B (made from swiss cheese), C (much better), D (better still), E (the latest version).
There is a significant price difference between the E and the Sinthered version....

The interior is really nice too, very nice and very tempted too....
Notice how I tastefully dodged the cost question earlier? ;-)

From reading you're previous topic, nice to hear it's sorted.
It beats me though, Lambo should have this type of clutch as the original!!
Supercar ownership, eh?!
To be honest, I couldn't have asked for a better resolution....It beats me though, Lambo should have this type of clutch as the original!!
Supercar ownership, eh?!
So Lambo get a big thumbs up from me!!

Lol you mean, mean, mean, men!!
Can I bet on myself??! That way if I win then atleast I'll be able to afford to pay for a replacement
Good to see you taking that the right way, that is the sign of a proper Lambo owner Can I bet on myself??! That way if I win then atleast I'll be able to afford to pay for a replacement

M, glad it's all sorted. Told you Mr Hudson would see you right.
The sintered clutch was actually standard from mid '06 onwards for the manual, by which time E-gears were being fitted with the E clutch (which works a treat. NEO's G has done around 30,000 on an E, mine 16,000 on the original C).
It was mostly manuals that were affected by weak clutches, and really only '03 and '04 cars at that.
I know I keep saying this but... Lamborghini have built around 5500 Gallardos now. If there was something fundamentally wrong with the clutches the internet (especially LamboPower) would be alight with complaints and critism. It's not. QED.
(Could I wave the Lamborghini flag any harder? Probably not!
