yes, my 360 needed a front end re-spray after 5,000 miles
so the film works out much cheaper

i was about to get this done.
the whole bonnet, front bumbper, wings up to and including the lights
and the side skirts,

all done in venture shield.was going to cost about £850 all in
something's come up so i may not be able to get it done in time for the FB runs

is venture shield and amourfend the same or is one better than the other?

Go and see Tom at Paintshield, by far the best paint protection i have ever had on my cars (and i have tried them all now) fitting is second to none and they now do entire panels so there will be no visible lines on the bonnet etc smile

I have it on my Gallardo now and its just superb, couldnt recommend them enough.

Ditto. I'm sure there are other fitters, but Paintshield did a first class job on mine 2 years ago. thumbup

Get the lights done, BTW. They're £1500 each if you get a craked lens!

Paintshield use 3M, and it is perfect. 3M are the second biggest company on the NY stock exchange and have been around for ever, so I figure they know what they're doing.wink

Had the armourfend done by the chaps out at waltham abbey way on the SV and not impressed. Agreed Scurro blue seems to be a soft paint but the bonnet suffered from le mans last year with the stone chips through the armourfend showing white primer. It was not like we were travelling very fast with the amount of police prescence there. Waste of money as far as I'm concerned. frown

Is the car in showroom condition and had a front end respray ? Would seem pointless to armourfend/paintshield a car unless it was done at this stage. I had it applied to a Lotus at the paintshop after a respray , but have took the decision that I never keep cars long enough to justify the cost of the product-vs-£500 for a front end respray

I think the cost of decent armourfending/paintshielding is in the quality of the fitting (raw materials must be pennies, right?) - tom certainly aint cheap but has an impeccable reputation

I had Ventureshield fitted 3 times............on the same car! The product failed to adhere EVERY time! The after sales I received from the arrogant liar who ripped me off for £900 was appalling, the head office wasn't much better, their solution was to trim the tape leaving unacceptably large areas exposed, thus defeating the object of fitting the stuff in the 1st place!

It's also clearly visible from a distance! It's rubbish.....AVOID!!!!

Here's a few pics, form your own judgement!

That may be partly true, but in my case you would expect that the man entrusted with training ALL Ventureshield installers in the UK and some abroad would be able to do a decent job......and he couldn't!!!

Does your amourfend cover ALL the painted frontal area, or is it trimmed to expose certain areas?

Mine covers all vunerable areas, ie nose, rear wings, side panels etc, i am very pleased with the job
