Went to the UK launch last night. Usual champagne, Canapes on offer, all very nice. Car was unveiled by a hot looking Jody Kidd...

I like the car, even more so in the flesh - it is very big, would much prefer one over a XK8 / XKR.

Did anyone else go, have any thoughts?

Sorry, no photos. Was too busy trying to catch Jody's eye.

I left on my own.

wavey I was there as well. Thought that the GranTurismo was OK, but it didn't blow me away with its desirability.

Nick Mason was swanning around as well .... cool

I can give you some advice on that.
Attend FOS, hang around the correct racing paddock and she will be there again (hopefully), and you will have to work YOUR OWN magic... Good luck.

BTW:
I can't make it this year so she is all yours buddy.
biggrin

I thought i saw him as well. Cool. Funny Pink Floyd is on radio now as well...spooky!

I know what you mean about the car though. I think its a car aimed at a slightly different demographic to what i am in.

Too right! Although I want to try the R8 first. But if i had to choose there is a list of cars as long as my arm that i would take first. Ask me again in 10 years and it might be different.

I see that the list price is £78,500. That's a HUGE uplift over the current Coupe (£57k) and way more than the XK-R - big mistake I reckon.

Wouldn't stop me buying one... If I could afford it frown That's the type of car where the numbers in the price are meaningless cloud9
