Hi,
You probably think im laughable because im only 16 and have only just left school, let alone buying my dream car the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 but to read forums when people say things like ' Picking up my Ferrari tommorow ' makes me think that there is a slight chance that i could afford a Ferrari or Lamborgini some day.
Sorry for wasting your time. lol

I havent a Lambo or a ferrari but i think i can still post on this. We were all 16 once and all had dream cars. If you work smart(not always hard) your be able to achieve almost anything.
I think its nice to have a 16 year old posting who isnt pretending to be 36 already with a Lambo or Ferrari.
Good luck

Your not the only 16 year old who wanders round this forum! My vehicular aim in life is to have a Ferrari 355 with a Larini exhaust, after seeing a video posted on here a while ago. My of my did that thing sound the dogs reproductive organs....
I also have huge respect for the people in here who own these cars, the effort that you lot must have put in to get your cars must have been immense
Dream hard, work hard and dont let anything stop you.
I went down the house route after uni and now at 24 will be picking up my lotus elise later this year. before I am 30 i will have a 355 and before 40 i hope to have a Murcielago (LP640 perhaps).
PH is about the love of cars and motoring and as Rob said above everyone in these parts and PH are good people

As it's Goodwood weekend - a little tale from the 2005 event as happened in the LCUK marquee.
It was quite late on the second day of the Festival and three lads of about 15 or 16 were wandering around in our slightly overwarm space...
Whilst looking at the Diablo we had on display, one said to the others. "I'll never be able to afford a Lamborghini!"
As they made to walk off, I grabbed the chap who said that and pointed out that, at whatever age he was, he'd already decided that for himself before he'd even tried.
The three lads looked a bit surprised and asked me what I meant.
I told them that if they were deciding at their age that they'd never have a Lamborghini then they almost certainly never would.
We did a bit more staring at the Diablo, the Countach, the Jalpa and the Miura, the Frank Sinatra car - you don't need me to tell you who he was!!
I asked them which one would they want? And then, why would they want it and not one of the other three? Why not two of them or why not all of them?
Finally, one of them said, "you're right, why not aim to get all of them? Why not say, 'one day I'll have a Lamborghini' and I'll get here in it!"
At least 100% of LCUK's Members are people who managed to never convince themselves they wouldn't have a Lamborghini - you guys are making a good start, you're on PistonHeads!
whaddaya mean, thanks, you patronising old sod??

Hi Olie
I am only 17, and like you I think this is the best forum ever and I hope to have a Lamborghini in the future (Countach 5000QV, Gallardo or Murcielago LP640).
I find this fourm very interesting and like has been said before the people on here are very friendly.
Oh and if you want to see what a Murcie LP640 is like speed wise check out this video.
Good luck and I will maybe see you in a LP640 someday.

Amen to that!!
I have known Leslie and Lorraine for many years and their story is a great one. Leslie is just about the No.1 Lambo fan in the world and he has wanted to own a Lambo since he was about 4. It was a very proud day for me when he called me to tell me he had bought his gorgeous Urraco. As has been said here already, we were all 16 once, we all had the posters, models etc - and all had that dream! If we dont perpetuate this love and passion to the kids and teenagers, then this dream could die. These are objects of passion and ownership can even outshine the dreams!
I wish you fulfill this desire as I can promise you, it will change your life. A Lambo isnt just a car, its a life choice and the people it can bring together and the happiness it can create is hard to put into words!!
I wanted a Lamborghini Countach since I was 6, 22 years later I bought an Anniversary Edition and that day has changed my life forever. If I had listened to my sensible and practical side, my life would be very different. Luckily, I am about to undertake surgery to remove that 'sensible and practical side' so it can never potentially harm me again!!

Hi Olie,
you never know where life will take you. At the age of 26 I had just been given a brand new (well ex demo) Vauxhall Belmont as a company car and I remember thinking I will never be able to afford a brand new car for myself. Twenty years on having owned numerous cars and raced 911's I'm about to buy a car that cost as much as my house did a few years back. Always think positive and you will get there.

Olie, set yourself a target and go for it. If you have a real passion run the corsa for a couple of years as a standard car, then move up to an old classic car (cheaper insurance) and most importantly keep your license clean.
Get yourself to a track/airfield circuit day, and get talking to the crowd there, I blagged myself a ride in this with a real nice guy called Gus.

I know where my sights are aimed now.
