Very naice, but why does anyone but a 4-seat Fezza new, when they can pick up one for a % in a matter of months?

They buy one new, because they can. You don't buy one of these on a budget.

Besides, you get the warranty, you get it delivered... its a special car, so it needs to be new.

Plus, being limited edition, it will be a while before they are on the second hand market.

If you want it, can afford it... buy it smile

What does this mean?

"technical black"
"Specific wheel cups"

Just sounds like a load of nothing to me apart from the clear roof panel.

Features like

Four pockets on door panels, two of them closed
Specially-styled instrument cluster

Dont really make me want to go for one...

well chris unless things have changed since you bought your MR2 then i don't think you'll be having one either!!!!

I can assure you that the 60 people worldwide that are buying one have already got a garage full of exotica and this will juct be a way of them having a little piece of the 60 years of ferrari.

Why on earth is there an advert for breast enlargements next to this article??

There seems to be more and more advertising on this site and it is really starting to get on my tits (excuse the pun) biggrin

Edward. Any idea how much extra the special edition car is over the standard car? Without giving the special edition more power, if the £premium is high then it appears nothing more than Ferrari taking the trousers down of a few of it's regular customers?

DAZ smile
(Just like Chris, I'm not buying a 612!)

As i said it's not about what it costs for the owners it's the fact they wanted one and they can have one.

in answer to you're question circa £210k

Personally I love it. The car looks very classy inside, and I like the two tone paint. Ferrari started in on the 456, and glad they followed it through. Personally prefer the black and grey combo. Cross stitch seats look good too.

Im surprised by the response of some people though. People buy this for the same reason why people choose a 430 over an SL or 997. Its for the drive. You dont buy it and then worry about the depreciation. Thats just life.

Why buy a Rolls, Bentley, 612 or 599 for that matter? Cos if you can, why not?

Tom Hartley has a 612 Scaglietti "Wallpaper edition" on his site, is that the same as this or another Limited Edition

No it is something different. The "Wallpaper edition" was displayed at last year's festival of speed and is one of a number of cars around that demonstrate some of personalization options available through the Scaglietti program. There were others at Maranello at the weekend. Mostly a monument to those with lots of money and rather less taste...

I think the Sessanta looks stunning.

I was a little confused when photos of the 612 were released and people thought it was ugly - then I saw a black one in the metal and was completely smitten.

I think the two-tone paint works well with the lines of the car - I'd buy it if I had the dosh. I'll just have to wait for it to slide down the depreciation curve a bit...
