Thinking of the Aniversary 2 piece in partcular

after seeing the pic you posted on another thread, a little bit of google0ing found the source of the alloys!
hav emailed them and will phone on monday as I'm also looking to put these on my maserati as well!

was thinking of getting the inside portion re-done in a black/dark chrome/polish as my car is the nero metallic.

that' where the picy came from wink being priced up at the moment, if you want the full catalogue of the LeoNardo wheels, email me your email adress and I'll send it to you, but as Cardif said, they are silly money! but they do have the Mistral 3 piece & Challenge 2piece in stock, so it is possible to drive over have them fitted and drive back driving

wonder if they do qty discount scratchchin they need bl**dy to hehe

I remember buying wheels for my TVR and all in was about £1200, not £4000 eek

Incidently, it appears that the fittment is very close to that of the 360.

http://wheelsperformancecom.stores.yahoo.net/maser...

Found this American site for aftermarket wheels. quite good as they cover a range of motors and have piccies of car they have done in the past!

The only prob is that by putting 19" on a Maserati Spyder, would you need to lower it as well? will that bugger up the suspension/ride? Or will it look wierd/anorexic having 19" and a huge gap between bodywork and wheel?!?

it'd look like a 4x4.

None of the wheels on that site are that nice on the car. And some of them ruin the car completely, aesthetically.

thats the problem with the Maserati Spyder shape, its almost a classic shape/design that most aftermarket alloys look almost halford-ish on it!

I'm in a bit of a dilemma as my wheels are damaged (long story, heavy rain, dog running into road, ballet, say no more!) and i have the option/opportunity to upgrade the wheels. i currently have the 15 spoke standard rims but quite fancy the 7 spoke later model wheels in the chromate/dark finish. As of yet, I haven't had much luck finding wheels that would suit my car (Spyder in Nero) but not too Pimp My Ride/Max Power!

The Spyder has a certain TVR Griffith look about it... you could see what aftermarket styles have been put on Griffiths...

ended up ordering these, not my 1st choice but a good quality wheel and for decent money.

they set the wheel up on blocks with a sock behind to blank out current wheel (looks better in the flesh) think they will look even better when they are fitted and you can see the callipers etc.

1st impression for me was a bit Jag XXRish but putting that to one side someone said they were a bit Fezza 360 too.

Ohe well, they are ordered now so fingers X

They look quite "mint" (been watching too much big bro recently) on your motor!

If you dont mind me asking, where are they from/how much with rubber?

(Added)

just spoke to a chap from Autovogue, who said that the rim shown above (Hamann Ann 2, 2 piece rim) isn't available for the Spyder yet, so he thinks after speaking to Hamann direct that the pic maybe have a modified fitment/pshopped.

Wheels do look nice PV dont worry I think they look more Fezza than XKR. There was a really nice wheel that came as an optional extra on the 3200 they were a 19" 2 piece split rim BBS LM2? Pretty sure that was the name a set sold on ebay with tyres(pzeros) for £800!! Which was a steal missed the auction by 30 min'scry

Not keen on the chrome and brushed alu mix but looks fairly nice overall. Hope 19"s don't ruin the ride and give it that 4x4 look?

not keen on chrome either TBO, saw it on alot of the bling american rims & it did look a little cheap IMO, the polished stainless outer rim is less spangly, its also easily repaired if dinged wink

dont think they'll be much change in ride comfort from 18" > 19" if there is, then there's always the soft suspension setting on the Skyhook which can be isolated from the gearbox apparently, ride height wise its quite a bit lower the standard since I lowered it, which it definately needed wink

hmmm they look too "pretty boy". sorry, that's the first phrase that sprung to mind. I like chunkly looking alloys which give an air of purposefulness. bear in mind, the maserati has muscular haunches.

sod it. the important thing is if you like a given design or not. get someone to photoshop them on to your car and see what you think. smile

Kahn RSV in the 1st picy, made in Italy by Antera for Kahn, they make the car look very Aston, shame they dont do the 2 piece (RSV2) for the 4200, would have gone for them.

2nd picy looks great in black & White but I bet they look to much in colour or in the flesh, best I've sen are the LeoNardo rims, Mistral or Chalege2, but £4-5k? maybe on my next steed biggrin

Original I lowered the car as much as I could, leaving about 10 - 15mm travel, had it like that for a while & was OK on smooth roads but the bumpy stuff becamee unbearable so put 5mm back on all round, much better but still looks low, scutttle shake is the same (bad), road holding on track is better, not as much pitch 'n' roll but you have to get the camber angles sorted otherwise you'll knock out tyres alarmingly quck eek quite difficult to find someone who can do it mind.

Easy to adjust with Skyhook, just wind the collars up, you'll need spring compressors (halfords) takes about an hour once you know how but probably about two hours the 1st time.
