So which is best. I seems i have one of two stick shift cars. I ordered my car at Geneva show 06.

I also drove the e-gear at Millbrook in Sep last year, one the one mile road it was pulling 185-190 veyron was hitting 200-210.

The egear was ok but not up to 430 spec, better than 360 through. I went for stick shift as it is a pure change as in direct to gear box.

Not tried an LP but I've just gone from stick to e-gear on a Gallardo and I can't see myself going back.

The e-gear is just superb.

I firmly believe Lambo's should not have egears/paddleshifts. Reason for that is that Lambo's are raw machines, or at least were until VAG took over (a good thing of course). Ferrari's (eg the 599) have all the electronic gadgets on you would ever need, soon you will be able to buy one that drives itself. But in my opinion part of the magic of Ferrari has gone as a result. Lambo's are an animal and need to be driven.
Only 3 years ago the Murcielago option list was confined to a dual tone interior and paint options. Nowadays its about a foot long totalling 30/40k loaded with gadgets again. I think its a shame. Doubtless Lamborghini will argue its due to 'customer demand'. But I think the marque has been diluted as a result.

agreed Simon, although I'm sure that the e-gear system could / will stay and probably the lifting suspension - but 'branding packs' and choices of more padded cupholders or additional nasal airbags really, really have to stop!

do y' suppose the Murciélago SV will have any added costs for having the same level of 'less' specification as the Diablo SV had at launch???

david i think the price of a g superleg answers your question, less weight, car will cost more.
though an sv diablo was cheaper than the vt or std car, pre audi business logic?
