Calling all you Supercar owners!! Advice needed
Discussion
Hey guys,
Just wanted to say, you all inspire me! As a 21yr old student who worships anything car related, I could spend days just standing & staring at cars your all just casually talking about on this forum!
To be able to afford these gorgeous machines, I would believe that in some way, you have all had/done 'something different' with your lives that have enabled you to 'live the dream' (well in my eyes!), be it through hard work/saving/investing/successful business or luck even.
I have a year left before I'm officially out in the 'big wide world', and would love to hear how you guys have 'done it' or possibly you could just give some advice to a young guy just wanting to fulfill his dreams as quick as possible! I have even considered making a move from my area of engineering which I think isn't well paid enough (in the long term) to a more lucrative career such as investment banking!
Thoughts/experiences are welcomed!
Cheers guys!!

The fastest way is to learn how to internaly store double rubbered tubes of colombias finest. You will get nice cars fast but you may od,shit yourself or go to prison for a very very long time. Other than that just do what your doing, theres money in everything you just got to be good at what you do.
agreed, but i'm favouring conflict diamonds this year, the market for bling is much more lucrative and your clients don't die as quickly. unless they are gangster rappers.
Agreed with the above, while property and finance are 2 big earners you have to be good at whatever you do to be a success at it. there is a lambo always parked up outside a kebab shop in st albans. so you could get a lambo from running a takeaway unless im mistaken and the driver just eats a lot of chicken donners.
The trick to being a success is not missing the opprotunities, for ezample you might have another year to go to finish uni, but there is nothing to stop you getting yourself down a wholesalers and picking up some merchandise and starting a ebay/internet business ont eh side, make a few quid on this and that and you will be amazed how quickly your savings account will get towards supercar ownership.

Maybe I should have added that I wanted to achieve the dreams legally!! lol & also I was wondering how long it would be before someone mentioned women!
Thanks, It's just hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel with all the uni work especially when your mates always seem to be out having fun every weekend without a care in the world drinking and meeting those loose women!
Any more for anymore?

Join a fast growing company – that is sound and exciting – when it is still rather small
See FTSE fastest 100 growing co’s for inspiration
Work much harder than you are paid for and eventually you will get paid much more than you work (normally through equity / shares etc)
As far as timing - I am sure there are city boys, sports stars or entrepreneurs who make it in their 20’s however for the rest of us it normally takes until early to mid 30’s.
Also buy property as soon as you can – if you take a long term view (10 years) you can not loose and the mortgage payments are good discipline (stops you P**sing the money away)
Summary - take a 10 year view and work your nuts off – no quick and easy other way – unless you have an exceptional talent/gift
Get a good women - as in supportive and homely and not as in GOOD !

Supercars are over-rated and expensive
IMHO it's all about getting the right balance, work too hard and you'll end up like a sad old lonely git with no mates and surfing the net 24/7, a bit like us all on here
Don't be frightened of taking a risk.

make the move to be the best you can at what you do, have pictures of your dreams around you, on the wall in your wallet. if a opp comes your way seek advice research it, mix with winners and loose the loosers, WORK HARD, set your sights on acheiving your goals one at a time, be focused on what you want, but be realistic...like a smaller older supercar first in 3-5 years, then reset the goal. good luck...i waited 20+ for my car!!!!

don't buy a flash car on credit and live at home with mum and dad- put a deposit on a property THEN think about a motor
Ditto ... buy a house, no matter how small AS SOON AS YOU CAN!
I cannot emphasise that enough ... then after a few years of working and maybe a few house moves you might suddenly find that you have a whole load of equity.
If you can buy two houses and rent one out even better... if only someone had told me this when I was 20!
