Audi Gallardo??

I picked up on a comment in another thread about the Audi R8 being a close relative of the Gallardo.

So I put it to the test...

That has got to be the least similar comparison i have ever seen...

If i new how to do that and actually had the time then i would do something like comparing a mini to an enzo because that is the similarity level....

Agreed. How you can compare something with a 21st century suspension system with something crafted in the Bronze Age defies belief.

I'll still take the Gallardo though.

I was merely comparing some of the lines. (although, I suppose many cars would share similar lines)

Don't take it too serious I was just messing about with Fireworks!

I personally think the Audi looks 10 years out of date, and the Lambo gives me the Horn 24/7!

In fairness to the Audi, it looks (IMHO) awful in pictures...


In the metal though, it looks absolutely superb. Saw an all black one at Le Mans and it honestly looked fantastic, a match for the Gallardo in terms of aesthetics to my eyes.

The R8 does indeed share certain parts with or parts that are based on the Gallardo. About 15% aparently, and its mainly chassis I believe.

Its not really though is it? I mean they both have 4WD, rear engine, 2 seater affairs. And both have Audi switchgear.

As well as both being owned by the same parent, "help" being provided one or both ways in development etc etc.

I really wanted to dislike the R8. Then I saw one in the metal at GFoS. I now just need to find another £40k for one
