Calling Veyron Owner for August

A new bench mark was set last weekend at the Vmax event by LeonS in his Porsche Ruf RT12 - 207mph!! The next event is in August and we'd all like to see a Veyron attempting the straight.
Any info required pop CraigW a message ref the event

Only problem is the airfield has been restricted to a 98dbs noise limit due to neighbours complaining!!

The Ruf RT12 was 98db or below.... how on earth did they manage that???

If i am around i will have a pop in my LP640. If JC can hit 207 then 210 plus must be within a shout.

I was with a friend in Dubai back in April. We hit 200 plus no ploblum. On the millbrook test day the factory driver said 214/217 is tops depending on conditions.Wind ect

May I say, on the day, the Ruf RT12 was one of the quieter cars running.

RedFive1, You have only 1.5miles of acceleration before the timing beams,
an LP640 should be in the 190mph range.[Autocar managed 194mph].

As much as I love the lp640 , I don't think it would be quicker than a RT12 at Bruntingthorpe

I think it was AdamT who used to work for RUF - he has a RUF Turbo based on the 996 (could be wrong).

The RT12 was surprisingly quiet though - even the F430s seemed a lot louder. Would be great to see an LP640 running.

If it's PHer "Madrod" that you're talking about - he was invited to attend - but sadly can't run due to the fact his car wouldn't get anywhere near meeting the noise regulations.

Shame.

I thought he couldn't come because he was rebuilding it at the mo...Might be wrong about that though.
