Gallardo-F360-GT3 running costs?
Discussion
Hello
All going well I'll be looking at one of the above before the end of the year. Maximum budget will be around £80k so it will be the 996 GT3 as the 997 is still just out of reach.
Can anyone give me some approximate running costs for the three mentioned and how they compare, pro's & cons for each etc.
Many Thanks
Ross

360 - budget about £2-3000 per year (excluding petrol/insurance/depreciation) if you do 5000 miles. That is an average per year, considering some years will be much greater than that, others much lower (due to belt change etc). It mostly depends on how good the car is that you buy, so get it inspected unless its still under warranty.
I would have thought pretty similar insurance, tyres etc; servicing of a gallardo - I just paid £1200 7500 mile, do a forum search and many others have cited costs in the past; I think tho in the region of £2k for a 15k / 2yr service.
Rear tyres £500 -> £750 a pair, lasting in the rough region of 7500 miles, 10k off the fronts. In terms of wear rate, that's no worse than an SLK55AMG for a left field comparison.
Warranty may be an issue, no manuf warranty available after 3yrs on a Gallardo, though obv you could get aftermarket cover where I expect GT3 from OPC would have official cover.
360 - personally - wouldn't bother. Quite 'fragile' feeling, despite great noise, practicality and nimble atitude. Gallardo - lets just call it more 'athletic'
Finally - GT3- prblematic on speedbumps, and if you get one with half cage, depending on how tall u r you might find legroom tight.
