Hi guys,

Today I picked up my first Lamborghini Gallardo!! Although not quite as young as SR I'm chuffed to bits with my purchase. I've admired these cars from afar and never even dreamt I'd ever be in a position to own one a few years ago.

She is an Orange 2004 04 Gallardo manual with Sat Nav and clear engine bay. As part of the deal I have got the next service (£1900) and a set of Titanium Callisto's £3160 + VAT) arriving in the next week or so, so I'm very pleased!

I have agreed to purchase Jonny5's Tubi Exhaust and Tubi cats, which hopefully can be installed next week. At which point, once the Callisto's are on, she will sound as good as she looks.

A big thanks go to Dom at Lambo Bham for his patience and advicesmile

I've taken a few (terrible) pictures for you guys. She'll be getting a good waxing tomorrow to get her glistening for the weekend.

Hope to meet some of you soon! Are there any meets in the midlands??

Liam

PS: Does anyone have any recommendations wrt a outdoor cover?

thats a beauty of a Gallardo! thumbup

as for meets/events, it may not be quite in the mid of the midlands (may not even be in the midlands, geography was never my forte!), but if you don't mind travelling this event will be well worth coming along to! - http://www.pistonheads.com/calendar/event.asp?i=18...

good luck with the Lambo!

Awful.

You're right, the photo's are awful! hehe

Lovely car, that'll look fantastic with calisto's (sp) on and, as you say, I'm sure it will sound superb with the tubi on. Enjoy in good health, looking forward to seeing some shots of it with new boots and a layer of polish.

Soounds great!!

I get back from Ibiza on the 28th though. I don't think Mrs Sarnie will be too pleased about me being away with the lads for a week and then wizzing off all day in me lambo. Leave it with me, some duty free perfum may do the trick! lol

Indeed it is, which is why I've been stalking this (Orange, Calistos, Tubi) for a good price

Excellent car!

I visited the Lambo factory last year and it is a MUST do if you can. It's so great being able to walk around the production line, and even talk to the old ladies with the sewing machines who stitch the leather for the interior.

Anyway - car covers - I have just purchased a "Voyager" from these guys (no connection with me) for my 147 GTA. It fits well and keeps the car dry. They are good at answering any questions you have too:

Cheers for that link, I've sent them an email. I'm looking for one that has the cable ties underneath to prevent it blowing off / nosey passers bye etc.

Also, the standard sound system is pretty pants to say the least. Once my Tubi exhaust and Cats are on i probably won't be able hear anything anyway, but has anyone upgraded the ound system at all?

I realise that the TV module and blue tooth kit are options when ordering new but can they be retro fitted by the dealer?

Cheers

Cheers

The Voyager cover does have the ties underneath which clip on.

Initially this caused much swearing on my part, but then I realised that if you lay the straps on the ground and then drive over them they are much easier to fit.

Sarnie, re sound system upgrade. Speak to Prestige Audio - they advertise on PH. They've done plenty of G's and anything else you can think of. They did my 360 and did a great job. Generally known as the people to go to. Check out their website!

For car cover I wholly recommend www.classic-additions.co.uk - custom fitted if necessary, awesome quality and a great company.

I have no connection with them, just very VERY happy with the product and service

Liam, congratulations, great looking thing.

The TV module is a total waste of time, seriously, don't waste your money.

The Bluetooth on the other hand is superb, Dom had it fitted prior to delivery for me at Lambo B'ham, about £580 I seem to recall.

It's the proper fully integrated Audi system which integrate into the MMI and gives full phone book pushing etc. Really good and well worth it if you are going to use the car day to day.

Less usefull if it's a weekend toy and garage queen like so many are biggrin

Enjoy and glad you got sorted.

Robert
