Hi all.

I was due to get my Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder '08 Model the first week of July, but its now the 18 July, and im having trouble with finding out the reason for the dealy from Lamborghini - any ideas? I have phoned Steve Higgins and Dominic countless times, but the majority of the time they have "been away" or "on the phone, and will call you back straight away" but this phone call never comes! I am starting worry, the only time I have managed to get any information on the status of my car is when I have actually gone into the dealership in London of each time they assure me nothing is wrong and my car will be here very soon which they have been telling me for weeks!

I am new to owning a Lamborghini, I have always been a Ferrari man and have an F430 at the moment, and the service at Ferrari has always been second to none my car was her on the excat day the told me, when ever I ring Ferrari with any questions etc.. there is always some one to take my call. I feel Lamborghini are very lacking on this front, there also seems to be a lack of dialog between the dealerships and factory as they have been telling me they cant tell me the date of arrival of my car until they receive the shassy number from the factory which the claim they have been trieng to get for the last 2 weeks!!

Your thoughts........

James

I have always had a better relationship with Graypaul Ferrari than with Lamborghini Wycombe. But cant understand why they cant give you an explanation. I would set up a protest outside and demand some free merchandise for messing you around.

Pretty coincidental post as I was told yesterday that my gallardo spyder would be delayed. No reason given apart from "production delays". Whatever, it was due to arrive early August now being told Sept, just in time for Autumn/Winter season...great. Well at least I get the new plate in Sept, some cosollation if anything.

Might actually be sunny and dry by Autumn/Winter asm911 !!!

I reckon the delay was probably caused by that Simonspyder bloke distracting the workers by trying to sell subs to themtongue out

How long have you guys had your cars on order, ie what sort of lead time are you talking?

When I was looking there were cars available immediately, or I could spec for delivery in 8 weeks.

Birmingham are in a bit of a honeymoon period bertie as they are a relatively new dealership and have been given a higher than normal allocation supply of new cars to help them build up their customer base and provide some showroom stock. I think that may be coming to an end though from what they told me.

James,

Your experience sounds similar to what I had recently: a whole variety of rather vague explanations for the delay. If you are lucky, the car, when it arrives, will bear some resemblance to the specification you ordered.

I was not lucky. Apparently a number of other people were not lucky at around the same time.

I have been told 'September' for the next iteration. I expect that is Italian for the 33rd of October.
