Hi all. Long time lurker on this particular forum. I'm afraid I can't quite stretch to getting myself one of the cars you guys get to play with but I'm sure one day I'll get there.
Anyway, I'm currently finishing off a car I'm working on and picked Monterey Blue as the colour to paint it. After much anticipation we've put the colour down on some of the bodywork and despite putting 6-7 coats of the blue tinted laquer down on top of the base colour we've not been able to get a consistent finish on the colour.
I was wondering if there is anyone on here who might have painted something (spoiler, wheels, even a whole car) who knows if there's anything unusual that you have to do to get the colour to go on evenly. All the data we have suggests that we've put it down correctly but I thought that someone on here might have a little gem of wisdom that we're missing out on. I hope there is because the bits that have covered properly look absolutely fantastic.
Thanks in advance! (+ keeping my fingers crossed
