Pirelli tyres for 4200
Discussion
I've had a puncture on a rear tyre that now needs replacing. It's a P Zero asemetrico; 265/35/ZR18. Car is a Maserati 4200. The other rear is the same tyre, but the fronts were replaced just before I bought the car with P Zero Roso.
My usual tyreman made enquiries & has been told by his supplier that Asimmetrico's are no longer made & the only Roso's in stock are Porsche fittment. I have rang around other dealers, some of them have Assimetrico's in stock, but again in Porsche fittment only. I would prefer to go with an Assimetrico, as I think I would only need the one rather than a pair if I had to have Roso's.
The concensus of opinion from tyre dealers appears to be that the Porsche fit should be OK being similar performance!
I have emailed Pirelli to query what is needed, but have had no reply.
Does anyone know whether the orignal tyres would have been Porsche fittment in any event, or is there some special Mazzer tyres out there. Does it really matter?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't think the originals were the Porsche variant, but they will fit in any event. I had a set put on my 3200GT - which had 4200 wheels - before I sold it. (I've replied already to your question on the maserati forum, but I thought I'd post it again here in case you are a more regular PH'er)
