Help with info on late 90's Quattroporte please

Hi, I am thinking of buying a late 90's Maserati Quattroporte and wondered if anyone might be able to give me some info on the likely running costs and things that I should beware of when looking at the cars. I'd probably go for an Evo with about 50k on the clock.
Not quite my dream car but I live in London and will have to park it on the road and I just couldn't face the aggro of having the paint keyed and tyres slashed that some of my mates with Porsches and more flashy motors put up with. I toyed with buying an NSX which I really like and unusually for a sports car I found really comfortable despite being 6'5" but I still think that the jealous cretin brigade would go some casual vandalism with that.
Any info would on the Maserati would be gratefully received as would suggestions on possible alternative purchases given my height and need for something that's not too likely to attract the attention of idiots.
