I've just replaced the gas strut on my drivers door and found a US based supplier who's prices are remarkably good. Link here : Door Struts.
Ordered mine a couple of weeks ago but I didn't post anything about it as I wanted to see if the part was any good. It arrived this morning and it's good news - not only is it correct size etc. but it's exactly the right part. The one I took off is date stamped for 1989 so is definately the original factory part. The new one is same manufacturer, same part number, same strength and date stamped Feb 2007. I've fitted it and it's perfect. Price? $62 including delivery, so around £31 or so. Compared to Eurospares who quote £85 + Vat + delivery each, and they are already a lot cheaper than main dealers for many parts. This guy will sell you a pair for 79 dollars plus 26 dollars shipping - bargain. You may get hit for VAT if you're unlucky, but it's still a huge saving. So if you need struts for your Lambo then buy with confidence - I've tried and tested the supplier and he's fine.
May be an idea if we had a thread detailing suppliers of Countach bits at good prices ?
