A sorry tale!!

I took delivery of my Murci in Feb this year after some good advice from this forum. Its everything I could ever want in a car and leaves people agass with admiration when ever I take her out.....
Three weeks ago I took the wife for a meal in the country on this particular Saturday evening and after returned to sleepy Dereham here in Norfolk about 11.30 pm for a drink with our mates.I parked the car strategically on this one way street so some bouncers of a club down the road I know could watch it. I went home that night and thought nothing of it.
The following Wednesday I got a sheepish call from one of my salesmen saying he had just downloaded a video off some ones mbl which showed a bloke running over my car in front of his mates. It even had them calling out his name. I checked the car to see footprints going right over the bonnet, windscreen, roof, engine cover, and spoiler. Luckily the only dents were in the ali roof.I even hear its on You Tube!!
I have since contacted the police who in turn downloaded the video, caught the tw@t who admitted it in a state of drunken frenzy, and I go to court in the morning to see him served sentence.
.... cost to me for repairs - estimated £9k + VAT
I will post you the result of the court case tomorrow.
Happy days!!!!

Seen this on youtube and in multiple threads on forums! Good to hear they caught him and best of luck tommorrow! I really hope the outcome is good, the guy deserves everything he gets! In fairness it is a car and you should be able to leave it on the street without worrying about this kind of thing. Scumbags like him should be locked up! Again best of luck and let us know how it goes.
really feel for you.
Make sure you look into taking private legal actiona gainst the little beggar to recover the full 9, you have the video evidence and if he gets convicted tommorrow as well, not sure what the case is but im sure you should be able to get some sort of CCJ against him for damages, even if he has to py it off at 20 quid a month for the rest of his life, i worry the court are just going to give him a slap on the wrist, i would sue him for every bloody penny.
good luck to you.

I plan 2 course's of action:
1. Sue him through the County Court System. He default on repayments of 20p per month - send in the bailiffs and generally make his life hell!
2. I find a very large Hells Angel bearded type who is gay and quite happy to dry bum him one night!!!
Happy days

Neil, if you are intending to follow any specific lines of dealing with this Yourself for real - then I would get them off a public forum that the whole World can view though. If that prick does get bummed and this thread pops up somewhere, then you could be punished more than him at the end of all this.
Sorry to hear about this, I remember seeing the video a few weeks back
Regarding the comments about leaving the car parked near a nightclub, unfortunately I fear that living in a small town has probably counted against you.
In central London you see Lambo/Ferraris parked up all over the place and nothing happens, unfortunately it’s out of London where they are more of a novelty that thing go wrong
Out of interest is the court able to award damages or will you need to follow that up in Civil court yourself?
