Hi,
What % wear should Maserati CC/GS clutches be changed at? Is there a 'no go' % at which you are taking a big risk of the clutch failing/slipping and being left stranded?

TIA

As a starter for 10...I read recently that main dealers wont sell a car with more than 75% wear.

Thanks. Does anyone know of a dealership or specialist that charges less than £1750 for a clutch change? (parts + labour)

I know Troesma (Ed) on here has regularly taken his 4200 to a specialist Giallo Cars based in Hildenborough, Kent, http://www.giallo.co.uk, the Maser specialist there is Mathew (aka wicked1 on PH)...

Also local to me (near Colchester) is another specialist Grimaldi - http://www.grimaldiengineering.co.uk - I don't have personal experience of either of them (yet), as I've so far had my 4200 serviced and 'sorted' through Lancasters.

Would be very interested to know how you get on, as will need clutch changed on mine later in year.

Have you changed your 3200 for a 4200/GS or considering one?

Cheers,
John

Yep, as Johnnyboy says I do use Giallo, and the guys there are tops. And as Mathew said above, my GS was there the other day to make an adjustment to the alarm sensitivity.

Mathew... BTW, have you received my email..?

Yeah, sold the 3200GT earlier this month, a real shame to see it go as it served me well (thanks David A!). Picking up an 06 GS next week with Skyhook, Auditorium 200 + custom paintjob - Rame Ghibli (copper!). Can't wait ...

Where'd she go to ? another pher? The GS sounds nice - I'm probably in the market for a GS spyder or keep the 4200 spyder for another year (decisions decisions!)
