Anyone know the major differences between a 2005 SE and a 2006 Gallardo ? Are there any major ones ?

If it was your choice what would you buy and why ?

Thankyou

the top is the only difference
If you can get an SE for the same price as an 06, I would say it's a better deal - because it will hold value better

From memory I think the SE also had 'sports suspension' as standard. I don't know exactly how this compares to an '06's 'normal' suspension but seem to recall it was considered a difference?

Anyone have an 06 or an SE on here ? Any thoughts ? Downsides ? Problems ?

Coming from a 550 maranello which has been trouble free for 18 months am I mad or is it as good as i am hoping it will be ?

Are allt hese clutch issues sorted out now ?

Alrite Basher,

Heres a Lamborghini Gallardo SE which in my opinion i think is a very good deal. Looks superb and there was only 250 made which means they will hold thier value alot better than the normal Gallardo. As far as performace, Unless you take it to tracks, you will not be able to get anywhere near the limits of these awsome cars.

http://www.lamborghiniclub.co.uk/

Go on ' Cars for sale ' which is located on the left of the page.
At the top of the selected page you will see a silver Gallardo SE.

Good luck!

Don't go Silver. Yellow is a good colour for resale , and if you can find a Pearl white car (only 2) you are laughing

i drove the pearl white demo lambo london used to have, purely to see if i liked e-gear or not.

decided to go with a manual in the end, but what a lovely colour with the titanium callistos & SE black bits.

I know a lot of people don't like them, but I would rather have a Nero than an SE - although can't be many UK Nero cars?

I know what you mean about the colour, I was exactly the same, but after seeing the car in person (popped in with a pal who was thinking of buying it) it really does look good!! yes

They just don't sell. Black , you lose the contrast against the roof

Silver can't be that bad as i've seen plenty out there.

the titanium rims, black mirrors and engine cover make the difference big differance on the SE and it makes all the colours look good.

I've got an SE (in Australia). 25,000km and no problems of any magnitude. The SE difference are mostly available as options on a standard car although the trim spec is unique/rarer (perforated trim, yellow on dash in strange places etc). Other kit (for this market at least) included sports suspension, rear facing camera, alcantara steering wheel, titanium callisto wheels, full leather interior (no plastic on doors or dash), piping on the seats, electric seats, dash badging, and the roof/mirror blackout thing.

Mine is e-gear with no clutch problems although it isn't a patch on the F430's F1.

After a 550, expect a lot of attention whereever you drive. A mate with a stunning Murci and I took our cars to the Red Centre on the weekend for some high speed work and the SE got all the attention when we stopped, much to my amusement smile

the car on the lambo owners club website is the car we now have.

it is in PERFECT order and IMO looks stunning.

We sold a yellow SE for £128,000 in January done 6k so i think the silver car now represents good value.

How does the SE sports suspension cope with UK roads? OK or is it more geared for track, like a 996 GT3.

Did any SE's come with the lifting system option?

I think most Gallardos are damped very well so the firmer suspension doesn't effect the ride much at all. it also uses the PZero rubber which i find really works when pressing on!!!
