On my 355 spider the plastic bottle that holds the oil (between the seats) for my convertible roof motor is pi$$ing fluid upon operation of the convertible roof.

Verdis kindly ordered me another one 2 weeks ago but still no word from the factory and apparently the Italians shut down for the whole of Aug.

- Does anyone know any other place I could get a new bottle for it from? (eg wreckers)
- Does anyone know the viscosity of the oil as its apparently the same as hydraulic jack oil (and where you get it from)

I did a write up regarding bleeding the spider system when you have fitted your new bottle. And yes the hydraulic jack oil is the same viscosity as that used in ferrari. Although some may pi55 and whinge about it not coming in a nice little holy ferrari marked bottle and doesnt cost the earthwink Some even feal better using the same oil in little Merc marked bottels:roll: But like i said jack oil the same viscosity. I have used Jack oil for the last 3 years with no problem what so ever, as well as other people that i know with spiders. My write up can be found here, its post #25 i believe, by Chaa. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=...
Also as well as the above link for spares you can also try http://www.douglasvalley.co.uk/

Yeah mate Im getting a bit sick of these mechanics bills, £3k last week for the M3 and £4k this week for the Fez! If I was sensable I'd buy a Porsche.

FSpider many thanks for the confirmation, Ive just ordered some from Halfords. Ferrari cost = £40 for 1/2 litre, Halfords = £3 brilliant!
