After reading (and dribbling over, I might add) ) Evo Issue No. 108's Lamborghini Supertest, I noticed the featured green Italian-registered LP640 isn't wearing the same automotive jewellery as avery other LP640 I've seen so far. I have to say I prefer the wheels it's sitting on to the "standard?" items and have half come to the conclusion that you must be able to specify whichever set of wheels you desire with the Murcie. Is this true or have I read (pun intendedtongue out) too-much into things?

that car was on 'roadster' type wheels known as Hercules. They come in silver or almost black (anthracite). Other type is Hemera's which are starfish shaped and usually come in silver but I believe can be done in black by the factory too. The Hemera's are more expensive the Hercules standard, but I prefer the latter type. All a question of opinion really

When Si and I ordered our car we really put alot of time into looking at different options, and I'm sure you'll agree the end product is stunning. I think the roadster wheels definately look the better of the two options, but I guess its each to there own.

The only point to add is that the Hercules rims were offered on the 05 coupe and roadster, meaning that if you wish to have all the new LP640 options to differentiate from the 6.2 then you would have to pick the Hereema rims.

I think there is enough differences to differentiate the LP from the previous Murcie irrigardless of the wheels.

Yes, exactly. The first thing I thought after "Wow" when seeing the LP640 for the first time was "I'd want the wheels off the Roadster".

The ironic thing is: Lamborghinis have a reputaion for playing second fiddle to Ferrari dynamically but making up for that with drama...but in this months' Evo, they mention that the LP640 has better body control than an Enzo, and a glance over Evo's lap times reveal that the Gallardo is actually quicker than the F430...draw your own conclusions fellas.whistle

I rather like the Gallardo Roadster's items, are you able to specify those on the Murie?
