this is the same night as the earlier photo slight accident on the way home

A bad crash, this is a daily sight on the roads with people driving way to fast!! and tailgating is something that happens every day, nissan patrols and 4x4's are the main culprits, sometimes the police will leave the wrecks on roundabouts for a few weeks as a deterrent!!!

See you there in a few months if all goes to plan!

The UK just gets worse and worse...got a ticket for doing 50 on a 3 lane carriage way and also turning right (the no turn road sign was covered by a tree!)- bloody cctv and cameras everwhere-except when you get shot or stabbed and then there are none to be seen!

Fantastic mate, have you got something lined up?? if you need any help or advice don't hesitate to ask. You'll be arriving at the perfect time if you lave it a few months, still a bit toasty at the moment, so is it a permanant move or just temp?

Cheers Rick

LOL believe it or not i think it was a bloke!!! it is very common to see people reversing down the main highway (motorway, god i've been here too long) it's a four lane per side 120kph road!!! quite scary when you come across them doing 220, theres no real point system here unless caught going silly speeds, but if you get flashed you pay a 200 dirham fine which is around 27 gbp and you pay online and have a years grace! nice police aren't they?? if you drive past a police car doing 200 in a 120 they would turn a blind eye as they rarely pull people over, the thing they clamp down on are red lights = 1 month vehicle impoundment and a sip of beer and i mean a teaspoon means 1 month in prison!!! if there is a accident the cars can't be moved until the police arrive and then and only then will the police officer decide who's at fault! so no lengthy insurance claims, servicing cars is also very cheap, as labour costs are a 4th the price of UK although the quality is not as good, i picked up my car after a service and experienced bad vibration at over 120kph i pulled over worried about a loose wheel, all seemed fine so straight to the chap i buy tyres from, he laughed and showed me they had put the wheels on the wrong way around i.e rotation was wrong!!!!!! shocking!!! huge argument with dealer and free service next time were promised!!

oh aye, what are you doing over in the rarified forums hehe

Anyway, you've spent enough time in sandland, let someone else have a go ... not sure Vicki would be up for it though biggrin

Back on topic though ... nice to see a 959 lurking in there. I have never actually seen one in the flesh, the CGTs are quite common in comparison.

Surely don't you need all sorts of existing employer backing? You never see jobs out there advertised in campaign or Marketing Week.

Hell. Now you've got me thinking. I'll ahve a word with Vic but i am pretty sure it will be a no go as she has the running of a business at this end to worry about smile

er, what would guesstimate average salary be for Account Director / Client Service Director, and ideas ... or where such jobs get advertised?

Cheers Rick.

Hi,

They tend not to advertise with the publications you mentioned and tey would normally bring people over from the same companies UK office, but my first job here was applied too through creative review and you see them occasionally there is a site "jobsindubai.com" but i have heard mixed stories if you are serious then i can give you a list of contcts here within the big agencies themselves also i am looking at seting my own agency up in the newyear with a group of brits, mainly from cs side!!! as for salary i reckon as a servicing director you'd be looking at around 30-35 dirhams a month which equates to about 5k gbp a month so you'd hav to be making around 100k in UK to match that because here what you earn you take home there are no taxes at all!!!!

Thanks Rick.

I did a stint with O&M Direct years ago and have to say, absolutely hated it. I'm not a "big" agency temperament, prefer small/medium size where you can actually go and see how someone is getting on with a job as opposed to waiting for it to go through God knows how many levels smile

Just spoken to Vic and she's well up for being a lady of leisure ... but if she's a lady of leisure then our income drops somewhat! Catch 22 smile
