Friend is looking to sell his Gallardo next month - Any ideas on what price privately or what Lamborghini may offer Part-Exchange?

53 Plate
Black Gallardo E Gear
17k Miles
Leather/Alcantara Interior
Bought from Birmingham Lamborghini 5months ago so is still under warranty (If the used car warranty is transferable that is??)

My problem with it is he is the 7th Owner? Lamborghini at the time of sale said that this was expected with this type of car although i know that it would put me off.

I wonder if that's the same story they tell when buying it back ????

Did you resolve the heavy oil issue/warning light?

Hi Al001,

Its getting taken to Lamborghini Edinburgh this weekend for a check on the Oil Issue if there is one, faulty sensor i think and then overfilling it is what the dealer thinks but its getting checked anyway.

I just wanted an idea of what the car may be worth, i have not saw any E-Gears under £80k but i assume thats what the dealer may offer as trade-in.

I wouldn't worry about the no of owners on a car like this, mine had three previous owners in the first nine months of its life before I bought it. many of the early Gallardo's inc mine were bought and sold on at a premium. As for values realisticlly trade in value at a main dealer is going to be 65K with retail at £79,995. Mark at lambo manch confirmed this when I had a speculative discussion bout mine (also a 53 plate)

Andy.

Thanks Andy, can you confirm if the Warranty is transferable if the owner makes a private sale? I know that the Porsche warranty is transferable?

If its a 53 plate the Lambo warranty will have expired and no extended warranty at presesent is factory approved. I can only assume its an aftermarket warranty (RAC?) which from what I've heard aren't worth the paper there written on.

Hi Andy, the car came from Lamborghini with a Lamborghini years warranty?

http://www.lamborghinibirmingham.co.uk/sales/pre-o...

I am assuming that this is a Lamborghini warranty and not an RAC/AA type although i could be wrong and i think my friend would be slightly P***ed off.

I'd be surprised if it is a lambo warranty, as I've been harping on to Mark at lambo manch about this now for a long time. Can you ask your friend to dig out the paperwork and let us know what the warranty is.

Andy.

Hi Guys,

As far as i was aware it was a Lamborghini one and when the car was last checked over - Lamborghini sent one of there "Big Trucks" to lift the car and take it away for a week and there was no extra charge? Friend was'nt happy with paintwork & stonechips and they did it for free??

I will get the warranty inofo from him and let you guys know.

Having recently bought an 04 plate Gallardo from Lambo Bham, I can confirm that the 12 month warranty they provide is an aftermarket one. It is with these guys:

Going back to original question I think £80k seems a tad low for an e-gear, but I suppose the mileage and previous owners must count for a lot.
