Hi All

Is there a way of contacting Ferrari, giving them a chassis number and asking them to check its main dealer servicing record?

I am looking at a 360 and want to confirm its service history.

Thanks.

I seem to remember Lancaster's doing this for me. Call a Ferrari dealership and ask them !!

Data protection and all that they will confirm what has been done but not give you any copies of invoices without written permission from the person that paid the bill.

Thanks guys - I want to check something.

This 360 is a 99V, done 20,000 miles.

Its had just 3 services to date (one due now which will be done)

So its a 7 year old car with 4 services - is that right ? Isn't it every 12 months if the annual mileage is small ?

Hope someone can clarify before I walk away from this car.

I would presume it shoudl have an annual inspection stamp or a mileage stamp so be careful.

in order to extend wrrnty, car should have had 2 belt changes, a 6250 and i8500 services plus usual annuals unless they coincide with mileage specific ones above

Well looks like this car has had 2 belt change services, plus another service, but thats it since 1999 - so annual stamps. Its due another service right now - so that will make 4 stamps in the book and not 7 like it should.

w/out checking the service schedule , i can't confirm how many services should have been done. it may be that some annuals overlapped with 6250/18500 so owner just went with major. ask seller/dealer to confirm what he's done

ok, just checked the service schedule- major due @ 6250 and 18750, cambelts @ 30k km or 3yrs . my '53 car has had 3x annual inc one belt service and the 6250 major. next service will be 18750.
looks like the '99 car is missing some history

Thanks Tony. Agreed, some history is missing. Funnily enough the major stuff has all been done (2x major services) and the belts have been done twice & is due again now (which the seller has agreed to do) So thats all in order - it's the minor servicing thats been neglected or overlooked.
So I dont think its about the cost of servicing being the reason some history is missing. It also had a new clutch at 10k miles at a main dealer, again not cheap, so it seems to have had money spent on it but perhaps minor servicing overlooked.

All that might mean I cannot get a warranty on it (see my other post) and I dont fancy running an early 360 without some kind of safety net.
