Just come back from Monaco and spent the obligatory hours standing outside the Casino watching how the previldged few (many it seems overthere!) live. How does the valet parking work outside the Casino? What would happen if you pulled up in a Lambo/Ferrari/Bentley and got out of the car - would the valet park guys park your car outside the casino or do they have to know you beforehand? Has anyone pulled it off?

OK, but when I was there yesterday, you couldnt move, the place was heaving with cars. Could you just pull up, get out and toss the keys to the valet parker? Or do you have to be in something really special: Enzo, Veyon, etc?

I was there a couple of months back in my new XKR, drove up, valet opened the door and parked it right out front no problems.

Depends on what cars are around at the time.

Lots of the same cars are there most nights. There are a few UK registered cars there - a new RR Cornish with the number plate BAS1L and a Bentley Azure with the number 80Y (with the word 'Play' rather tackily printed above it)

I've seen that one there. Anyone know who owns it?

Back in '97 I had no trouble parking an E-reg Citroen BX19 GTi in front of the Casino - the valet wasn't exactly jumping for the keys though! Ah...three Kiwis backpacking...I mean "Citroening" around Europe - footloose & fancy free - what a great summer...

So after parking your flash car on the front of the Monaco Casino and attracted every ones attention. Do you...can you sit and play with the big boys around the table and with a shrug of the shoulder dismiss loosing a cool 500 grandwink Now that's the real question of importancewink
Or is it just about the photo op? And you spend little inside on the fruit machines.

When I stay at the Hotel de Paris they take the car away to the car park but sometimes bring it back into the square during the day. I think they just like having some nice cars in Casino Square.

We had 12 cars, and 6/7 pre allocated places, so we just threw the valets the keys, sauntered into the Hotel Du Paris and they sorted it, and they kept alternating the cars out front too. Top

A load of TVR's were there in May, most of the blokes said it would be impossible to convince the concierge to let us park there...

...amazing what a low cut top, a big smile and a fluttering of eyelashes can do...

Ten minutes later myself and holiday buddy (also a female petrol head) were parked up in her lovely sagaris being snapped like film stars!!

Then we got told off by the nice policeman for revving it, out came the eyelashes and girlie smile to sort that one out!!

Us girlies know when to turn the charm offensive on - men beware!! wink
