If you’re referring to the advertisement it has been removed, as it contravenes the Rules of Posting.

It's not much to ask is it?

In 2 weeks, my wonderful european comprehensive breakdown cover provider has so far provided absolutely diddly squat information but have managed some monumental porkies on promising to ring with information/ post forms etc etc etc.

It took a day to drive there, yet in 2 weeks, no car, no info, no calls, nothing. zilch.

Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Grrr.

Sorry I don't make the rules I just try to ensure consistency in their execution.

Just to explain my guidelines:- Rule 2.9

Rule 2 states:-
You agree that you will not upload, share, post, or otherwise distribute or facilitate distribution of any content - including text, communications, software, images, sounds, data, or other information, that is either:

Section 9 covers
That constitutes unauthorized or unsolicited advertising, junk or bulk email (also known as "spamming&quotwink, chain letters, pyramid schemes, the promotion of particular stocks of shares and other financial products and services, or any other form of unauthorized solicitation, or any form of lottery or gambling; or:- and they continence.

Seriously I'm not trying to offend, if you think the removal was unjust then please press the report button on this thread and Haymarket will address your questions.

But my car isn't for sale, it's missing in action (or inaction to be more accurate!).

Don't even know what country my car is in right now, never mind if it might ever make it back to blighty

Going stir crazy and missing all the events I was looking forward to

Now I'm really confused as well as car less! scratchchin

Nope, I only ever post as myself Big Al.

I have just completely hit the wall in trying to get any kind of answer from those who supposedly provide breakdown cover on where my car is, when it might appear, or indeed if they even know where it iseek

Thought I had as much chance (if not slightly better indeed) by asking on here!!!smile

MODERATORS

Ian Ward (Ianqv) and Tony Jim-Bob (blot) ARE NOT the same person although they are both valued Members of Lamborghini Club UK - I have plenty of evidence to that effect if requested!

Now, where the fcensoredk has Blot's luvverly Spyder got to???

Surely the recovery people are contracted for the safe return of the car and would be liable to pay FULL compensation if it becomes 'lost' or appears in an advert somewhere as being for sale or gets knackered in some way... (a rhetorical question as surely they must be!)

Tony - let them know that you are expecting your cars safe return as per whatever their documents say and you will bill them until they bleed if it's not - sometimes you have to scream to be heard, good lcuk mate! (mispelling entirely deliberate!!)

Big sympathy, Tony.

When Carlo's Roadster blew a tyre on the wat back from the factory the AA said that they would fly him back and recover the car seperately. Not surprisingly he told them what they could do with the notion of abandoning the car in the French Alps and instead told them that he had a spare tyre and wheel in the UK. If they could be bothered to have it couriered to him over night, he could fit it and be on his way. They weren't interested (despite the fact that it was obviously going to be a cheaper fix for them as well) and told him they would be relaying the car back to the UK, using at least 2 different transporters! Carlo ended up sorting the delivery of the spare himself and stayed in France for an extra 5 days, rather than leave his beloved Roadster to a bunch of numptys. So his cover was a total waste of time.

I think we all need to read the small print very carefully.

i think (emphasis on the think) that all of the major recovery companies sub-contract the collection of "poorly" cars, regularly abandoned throughout europe.

the same parties enlist one or two car transporters to simply travel around europe rounding up cars .... so if your car expires say in northern france, she (or he) could be on board for a while, whilst the driver visits romania .... and of course, no rent has to be paid to store your car during it's cruise around europe .... plus, they will require a full load before investing in a cross channel ticket.

apologies if i'm talkin' bolox.
