Looking at a 99V 360 thats had 6 pervious owners - normal ? Sound a lot but I hear these types of cars often have above average numbers of owners.
Will 7 owners in 10 years (ie when I sell it on) be a hinderence ?
Cheers.
Its quite alot. What you need to make sure of is that it hasnt been a hire car during this time. Will 7 owners in 10 years (ie when I sell it on) be a hinderence ?

Its all down to price vs condition (including factors such as number of owners etc) at the end of the day

That's quite normal in the supercar world. The cars tend to change hands quite often in the first few years. Will 7 owners in 10 years (ie when I sell it on) be a hinderence ?

So, 6 owners in 7 years is fine. Just make sure your buying the car based on condition rahter than looking at nice stamps and V5 docs.

my 1998 550 had 6 previous, but cars id viewed with less owners & 'supposed' less miles were not as nice & alot more worn.I could not find any cars that had had less than 4 owners.
condition, condition, milage, service history, colour & spec etc, condition again then no of owners for me

I think this depends on how you view the car you are purchasing.
I have never bought a car without the view that I plan to keep it at least a couple of years and if I really like it probably longer. Therefore I would not be tempted by a car that has had more than 3 owners in eight years. It doesn't interest me to own an example that has been through the hands of so many, mainly because having multiple owners doesn't increase the chances of a car not being abused at some previous point.
If on the the other hand the car is cheap and you want to own it for a shorter time, to tick the box so to speak , then it seems a lot of people are not put off.
Hope this is not taken the wrong way. I am sure i am not alone in trying to find the best car with the best history when i purchase. To me too many previous owners does not appeal, a cherished example with as few previous owners as possible is always preferable, although always harder to find and often more expensive.

My 360M has had 6 owners but its in mint condition...service history and invoices were thorough.
Had it inspected by Verdi and also had it on the dyno after the tubi was fitted...both said engine was excellent.
I also think its very true that many people only plan to hold on to cars like this for 1-2 years hence having several owners by the time the car is 6-8 years old - very normal.
If you're really worried about resale, try and buy a car with a sought after spec (e.g. rosso, tubi etc)
