Redline.
The best supercar movie you've never heard of!

I saw the trailers for this when I was in LA over Easter and it looked cheesily amusing.
It completely failed to even get a dvd release over here, but Movietyme.com have just got it in Region 1 and it is great fun.

No point in recounting the plot (although it is certainly no weaker than any of the tF&tF series) but the cars are real as are most of the crashes.

There is some pretty good driving of:
- Ford GT
- Ferrari Enzo
- Ferrari 612 Scag (that morphs into a 456 when it crashes Rolling Eyes )
- Carrera GT
- Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster
- Lamborghini Diablo Roadster
- Saleen S7
- Koenigsegg CCX
- McLaren SLR

with cameos from a Saleen Mustang, Zee Oh Six and others.

Very little CG, just some good ol' fashioned stunt driving.

Oh and some of the babes are worth an ogle, especially the leading lady Nadia Bjorlin...

Aren't all of the cars involved owned by the producer? And he wanted them smashed. Believe all of the smashed cars were demonstrated at the 'Premier'.

On topic: it does look like an OK film, if not for the Babes and Cars...

Yeah that's right. I was told he financed the whole film just to give Nadia, his then-girlfriend, her first feature film!
He must be nearly as rich as the film producer character in the movie (clearly modelled on how he would like to perceive himself).

I don't think he's going to make back his production costs; it's so obscure, PlayUSA don't even hold it!
But movietyme do: http://www.movietyme.com/catalog/product_info.php?...

Yea i got the DVD. Nice collection of cars in it, some great camera angles. But IMO a wasted opportunity to make a classic film, bad story line and a lot of over actingfrown

writing off your car collection and 40M USD seems an extreme way to keep your girlfriend happy.

Couldnt he just buy her flowers and a box of milk tray.

sheesh. americans.
