Orange Murci in Culcheth - Cheshire, over took me on the way towards Lowton A580.

Sounded awesome, pity I wasn't in the RS to follow you around the bends etc.

Hi there,

That would be Simon in his Murcie, quite suprised he was not out and about in his new LP640 as I am sure he has recently taken over custody from Andy.

Heres a pic of SG54

please click to view full sized image as P/H automatically resizes them

Simon will probably pop along to say hello in a bit. wavey

Tim

(p.s. Simon if you do read this can you check your e-mails as I have sent you one recently and have not had a reply yet)

That was Rick (Bromers) in SG54 on the way back from Brunt or galavanting around in it today (?!) We'd both been instructing at Brunt - I followed him part of the way back in the 640..

Have to say I wasn't sure initially that the extra cost of the LP over the old 6.2 Murcie was worth it to start with. Just couldn't get out of my head what else you could buy for £200k. Plus the speaker that didn't work, the dicky handbrake, annoying seatbelt warning light etc etc didn't help matters.
Now I've had it up in Perthshire for a week I can see every penny of it. You might think 'he would say that' but the 640 is just a weapon. Its not the extra power, its the whole set up handling and brakes. If you read the spec on one the only thing they have kept from the 6.2 is the bodyshell and chassis, and part of the interior. The rest is new. I haven't got to finish cleaning it before it's back on the road. Hardest thing about driving it is keeping the grin off your face.
Back on the downside the Kenwood stereo is pants. Lamborghini charge £3k for the satnav but for no cost you still get the DVD/CD changer and the same screen. For about £300 you can buy the software for the satnav anyway. The fly by wire throttle pedal is very sensitive and prone to bogging down when youre trying to make a quick getaway. Apart from that its all good, and getting better smile

Tim - could you resend that email? Ta

Jesus Christ!! £3k for the SatNav!? That's daylight robbery, Audi only charged £1,250 for the Colour MMI & DVD SatNav when we got our A6, now they're only charging only £500, how do Lamborghini, under ownership of Audi, justify their £3k? It must be very similar stuff right?

Not sure about the Murci, but the nav in the Gallardo is exactly the same that audi fit. Called the RNS-E or something like that.
