Maserati cc problems

Started the car this morning and the level light came on. Consulted the handbook to discover it was low gearbox oil. Drove the car over to Millbrooke cars in Sheffield at a slow speed. The gearbox would occasionally slip from whichever gear into neutral, but a flip on the paddle would knock it back into gear. I assumed that it was related to the low oil level.
Millbrooke were able to sort out the oil level straight away and the level light went out. They also hooked it up to check the clutch wear, which came out at 56%. They then took it round the block to ensure all was OK, however it was still jumping out of gear. I have left it with them for investigation.
Do I fear the worst? Does anyone have any idea what the problem is likely to be?
