Gallardo or other toy???
Discussion
In summary and cutting a long story short I could do with a pick me up.
I've got a 911 turbo which i've had for 5 years or so and it spends most the time having stacks of cash spent on it in the name of modification. It's soon to finish it's last round of change and basically is nolonger a suitable GT car.
So what i'm after is, a look at me car that wont be trashed unless the turbo is out of action. Its main purpose in life is to make me feel good on the roads rather than the track, and get me and the misses to nice hotels for weekends away.
Main thought at mo is a Gallardo but would consider anything under 90k (even something like 328 etc...)
So what do you guys think?

Nothing really compares to the 911 for out and out fun, the engine alone owes me 60-70k, all on a single turbo and RWD...
This new car needs to be easy to drive round town (the 911's clutch is a special carbon-carbon twin plate thingie which is totally binary in operation, not good in traffic), and is really about enjoying normal road driving. I know it sound crass to be searching for a look-at-me car but, frankly, I don't feel like apologising for that.
I have been looking at early F' cars as a bit of a wild card and would consider Lambos a part from the Gallardos, it's just wing doors wont fit in my garage easily enough.

In your price zone why not choose a Lamborghini that isn't too old as yet but doesn't really have anything to prove at all these days, why not look at a late spec. Diablo?
Or maybe get a real grip on something like ultra violence in a car and buy a Countach, ideally a black one, possibly an Anniversary.
I know a couple of LCUK geezers with one of those each who are actually quite mild mannered, easy going chaps when not in their Countach being 'never a boo to a goose' types usually ...
... except there is nothing at all 'usually' about a Countach, especially not a black Anniversary!
JUST READ your second post, so either of the above is (perhaps) not ideal - and if you want a town-able car, they probably aren't the ones for you either!
I'd be entirely happy if you prove me wrong though!!!

Had great fun modifying my 996 TT last year but sadly sold it at Xmas and been missing it ever since. Have a RR Sport TDV8 for work but like am very keen to have an Italian toy.
Have taken out a 360 Spyder and Modena over the summer and have to say they are both cracking cars to drive and very differnt to the 996TT...though am leaning to towards a Gallardo at the moment as love the styling...they are both stunning cars and its a very hard decision to make...the 4x4 aspect is prob going to sway it.
