Hi there,

After buying a 3.2 S Boxster recently and have got bored I have decided to go for broke and live out my ultimate dream of owning a Ferrari.

I am looking at 355 Spiders and have been amazed by the difference in prices around. They seem to vary from upwards of £40K for a yellow RHD to circa £60K for red with crema.

I am really stuck to know what to do however my budget is at the lower end as I am not your archetypal Ferrari owner (loaded!)

I think i might of found a yellow with only 23K and 2 owners with a FFSH for £40K and the dealer will take my Boxster so could be an OK deal.

It's had a Cambelt change recently which I know is important however can anyone if you have the time point out the downsides to ownership and a costing for 12 months motoring in one of these things. As I said I am not minted but doing OK so won't winch too much at some of the cost implications.

Is there also anything I should be checking prior to purchse you can reco and things to check/get him to do.things to be careful of?

Guy's as i am sure some of you can empatihse, this is a dream come true and I can't afford to get it wrong. I never normally let my heart rule my head however on this occassion I am getting close, can someone offer some constructive critic!

Thank you for listening.

Message to Ferrari Spider. Firstly thanks for all the help re the 355, really helpful and much appreciated. I just don't want to get this one wrong as it's a lot of money to me so thanks again for unmudding some of the water.

Re the Bruce Lee side, don't get me started!!! He is my hero! I am a massive MMA (Mixed Martial Artist) and follow the UFC and Pride with as much passion as Ferrari's.

I have practised Muay Thai or Thai Boxing for years and have just started Brazilian JJ which is awesome. I have wanted to learn JKD for years, however there is nowhere around here that teaches, it's a dream to learn. I did start training WChun a few years ago however I really struggled with it.

Bruce Lee is a true inspiration of a man and his legacy is still appreciated today which is fantastic. If people looked away from some of the Hollywood iceing sugar he had sprinkle on his life and if you are in the know, true fans remember him as being an incredible and certainly in my opinion the best martial artist of all time, period.

If you can put me in contact with anyone that teaches JKD in Hampshire, I would be massively grateful!! Thanks again.
