I'd only just started then funky, N.Yorkshire flies are full of blood it would seem, front of car is mainly red right now!

Found a fantastic road, somewhere between Muker and Askrigg, beautiful scenery and awesome driving to go with it smile

Great pictures blot! smile Nothing like a crisp sunny day, i had a convoy in the lotus with another lotus to mondello. Despite the traffic being crap and the cops being everywhere the day was great with so much sunshine! biggrin

looks like a nice place to visit. ive been to the rolling road. IVE LOST 34 HORSES. and it looks like your fly collection is bigger than mine. at least my scratch collection is bigger. on top of that my lads have blown the engine on one of my vans, the second in six weeks. I need another track day for therapy.

Get a nice bottle, watch a bit of my name is earl, relax and then start thinking of a venue where we don't have to worry about stupid noise regs!!!

Funky, were you out on track with the lotus?

Lamborghini track days - the Quest for the Grail!!

All the years in the 80's and 90's that Mike Pullen of Carrera Sport used to organise track days at Goodwood all ended up being banjaxed by local noise regs. - usually the noise of the whining West Sussex crochet and knitting circle members etc, etc

... and all the years when some people would bleat endlessly, "why doesn't LCUK organise track days?" - only to be followed by a string of no-shows or back-outs for either days at MoD and RAF tracks or even at tracks like Knockhill making for cancelled events or some poor turnouts number-wise of Members... especially when the request for some money up front to pay for their jollies ahead of time seemed to be unacceptable to them! Those 'sorts' are mostly absent from the Club and also PistonHeads as it happens but the worst thing was that most if not all those tracks had/have no, zero, stuff-all noise regs... tsk...

so, LCUK / Lamborghini and other supercar track days for 2008:

cloud9bouncecloud9bouncecloud9bouncecloud9bounce

GO FOR IT YOU CRAZY KIDS!!

between peeps here on PH and the Club's new outlook and (er...) gusto, vim and vigour (sorry, bizarre words to use, but you know what I mean!) they could / should be really, really cool and brilliant days/weekends out... I've got a sort-of contact line to the owners of Trac Môn... shall I chase 'em for something next year - it's bigger and wider nowadays, apparently!

Mmm. Know what I'm going to be doing this weekend hehe

The run from Skipton to Aysgarth and onward to Castle Bolton and beyond is one of my favourites... must go a bit further and discover these roads too!

J ~ Uh ho i'd say dan's in trouble! You don't let him drive the lambo with that track record to you wink

Blot ~ Yup i had the lotus out, more fun on small tracks and i'm not that into going fast (apart from at gaydon wink) I'd rather spin around my own pace and learn more about the car's handling then getting a few seconds off a lap time!

XX ~ Track times always a yes for me! biggrin

So, as Dun Laoghaire is only 45 minutes on the fast boat from Wales would you be up to bringing either one or other of your dozens of cars over from RoI or the 6 from wherever you have it?

I might have a word with the peeps at Tre-Ysgawen Hall and we could all stop there for a weekend as well... they liked us so much last year they even spoke Welsh in front of Crikey Mikey because he loves hearing people talking something other than a language he understands!!

food and rooms are good as well, and not too 'spensive...
