How good is the F1 box on the current 430? Was considering a manual myself, unless the F1 is that good.. have not driven either!

The price differential seems to be high, 2 similar cars at Maranello, same mileage spec etc, but F1 is 15k more.

Have been told that residuals and demand on the F1 are higher, but if manual is 15k cheaper to start, then would even out upon sale time.

Cheers
Rob

You looking at 05 Nero manual car and 55 Rosso F1? the red car is already dearer because it is red and is 55 over the man car being 05.
So the diff not just the F1 box. You really have to look at what extras are on the car as so many choices out there.
In 360's the price is not really any diff for man or F1 I did not think when I was looking. I chose a manual car but if going for 360cs(thinking) will have to accept F1.
Cheers Neil

Funnily on the 360s (esp early ones) there seems to be more demand for manuals (as I am findin out as I am selling one!)

Not sure about the F1 BUT the E-Gear is a dream to drive once you get used to it. Manuals in my opinion are a thing of the passed and once Porsche finally releases its DSG system then i think all performance cars will follow.

A great system in my opinion that only adds to the drama of driving one of these fantastic machines.

P.S. I believe Edinburgh has a red F430 F1 at £109k which is the lowest approved price i have noticed.

And slower!

The F1 is my preference, and I like to heel and toe etc so really wanted the manual. But the gearbox in this car is really very good. Very, very fast gearchanges. I hated the F1 on 355 and 360, but this is different. Might explain why my mates egear g spyder cant get close. His gearbox changes cogs at a rate of months wink
