Hello.....would a 348, 308 or a 355 cost me a fortune to run?!

Which, if any, would be most reliable/least likely to induce bankruptcy....

Pretty much in the order you have them with cheapest to own / run first 308, 348, 355.

The trick is to buy a good one to start with however......

In my experience with a F355 it cost me less to run over 4 years than my 348 did over 17 months ( I hated that car so much) the F355 was also not off the road other than for servicing.

And I had my 348 Spider one and a half weeks before hammering it (and I do mean hammering it!) around Europe and the Alps for 3000 miles ... I then carried on to do a total of 13,000 in the year (as a Sunday car) including the Costa del Sol and back.

Superb car. Servicing is £6-800 every 6,000 miles, the three yearly (or 24-30k miles) cambelt change is c £1,500 inc. major service with a good independent. A new clutch cost me £700.

Very good cars IF you buy a good one (as with any of the models).

I will be returning tho the ferrari fold within the next year or so and as a Testarossa 512TR will be too costly to run for the miles I do, I will go back to a 348 yes

There isn't another model (within reason) that i would have apart from the 512TR.

I think it is the styling that does it for me ... much as I would love the extra 1000 revs of the 355, I think the styling is too soft.

Give me those "Testarossa-esque" side vents anyday over a scoop smile

Yeh thats why I got a 348, love the styling full stop. I like tessas & 512's but not too keen on the backend (plus too wide for the garage biggrin).

While on the subject, I think a 348 rear looks mean as f*** at night when the lights are onevil
