Just out of curiosity, does anyone use their Italian as an everyday car? Does anyone have an Italian as their only car?

Just wondered smile

PS. The term Italian applies to something with eight cylinders or more.

Yes, have a Gallardo which i drive every day to the station.. used to have a 355 and a station car and never drove the 355, so learnt my lesson. IMO, cars are supposed to be driven, not admired in your garage.

Heh, very good smile

Ever had any problems due to repeated short distance runs or, as I presume, it's countered by weekend usage? smile

No probs so far, i think the drive is about long enough for everything to get up to temperature etc, and i'm not in traffic, so gets a good blast each day.

There are a number of guys on here who use their cars as a daily.

Judging by the cars I see on the way in to Central London every day, I would say there are a lot of guys using them as every day cars. biggrin I applaud every one of them (not literally, you understand)

9k miles in 6 months so far........

ok, not actually using it as an everyday driver, but it's easy to see how it could be.
in terms of costs, it's not prohibitive if you use a decent independant

reliability is on a par with my M3.
however i stress the importance of finding an independant who you trust and who knows what he's doing.
those are the guys who will keep your car on the road without it costing silly money.
