Was it only me or do you share that this review was rather negative despite the staggering performance figures. I think he has a point when he states that the 599 is impractical in terms of its 1.963 mm waistline which is a whole 8cm more than my DB9 which is not a small car by any means. What will the less than enthusiastic review by Jeremy Clarkson of the 599 do to its waiting list and premiums.?

I don't think so, he is usually a big ferrari man and was very complimentary about the Enzo, F430 and other recent Fezza's. I thought it was quite a balanced review, it clearly just didnt push the right buttons for him, fair comment really - a lot of people have very mixed opinions on the 5 series Ferraris, i know as moany people who loathe the 575 and 550 as love it.

Nothing at all.

I suspect JC is starting to realise that achieving the ultimate in banzai performance is getting more and more irrelevant these days. With every (almost literally) manufacturer producing cars that are so quick they can rarely ever be used to the max on today's roads, there needs to be something more to differentiate them. I'm biased, but I tend to agree.

However, I suspect I'll get a 599 once the depreciation has properly taken hold. No matter how wide it is (it isn't designed for threading down the Kings Rd, no matter how many of them will end up there).
