Had my first Ferrari - 430 - for a few months now and love it. Thinking of something a bit more trackable and focussed which also might be a bit of a 'keeper' and considering a 360CS. How do you guys think values will stand up over the next few years, do you think it will remain one of the more sought after Ferraris in years to come and will I find it a let down after the 430? I'm down for the new Strad btw but that's a little way off. Presummably it's useable on road in the same way GT3s are.

Thanks for any thoughts. Pugs.

I am sure someone on this forum has gone F430 to 360CS and is very very happy. I am also thinking 360CS would like it to be a keeper. Doing my research on them and keeping an eye on the ones for sale at present Tonyh gave me alot of info he has one and is very helpfull.
When I drove a 360 F1 did not like the box so bought a man car but the 360CS F1 I beleive is better (not yet driven CS)still not decided on the spec that would suit me best seem to be alot for sale at the moment (approx 12% of the total RHD 119) including one at auction that has been crashed. Will watch the thread with interestsmile Neil

Was really thinking about the 360 CS, prior to ordering a new 430.
What put me off, was the idea of buying an expensive car.. that was 3-4 years old. Also the worry of potential previous off track excursions, with dubious repair history.

Having seen a number of GT3s with mega repair history, I decided to buy new only from now on.

Enjoy the 430, until the new Scud arrives.. IMO

Having owned my cs for 10 months now as an only car and having tracked it I would say that it is useable, but not as much as a gt3. biggest problems are speed bumps and bottoming out on undulating roads and the crest of a road under heavy braking. It is quite superb on a track but pads are v expensive (think £1000+ for a set) and it does use up the tyres. Am hoping it was a reasonable purchase financially too as it will not nearly lose the same as a new 430 over the same period.

Was also at maranello's at the weekend and salesperson (particularly unhelpful) told me that the new 430 scud is nothing like as loud as the cs... could be one of the last great fezzas...

It is a stunning car, there was one at Supercar Sunday at Knockhill few weeks ago and for some reason got allot more attention than the various F430's that were there, 360 lines look allot more beautiful than the F430's in my opinion.

Interior just adds to the drama - Note that it was the only Ferrari that never actually hit the track. Beautiful car though and so needs that stripe - Not sure if its faster than a an F430 though i could be wrong.

driven a 430 spy and a 360 coupe, i find the 360cs just has that something special about it, im sure the 430 scud will be amazing but your looking close on 200 bangers for early ones!

has anyone ever said anything bad about these cars?
yes i know of a few niggles (same with any car) but normally the people who purchase love it....

What surprised me is Graypaul have a 360CS ( reg 360 CS) for sale and state stripe removable think it cannot be factory stripe in that case. Also state Lexon sliding windows but pic of car looks like normal windows the car at The Ferrari Centre has Lexon windows if I am not mistaken.

A friend of mine eventually had to sell his 360CS for a couple of reasons, I believe. One of the reasons was that although it was truly magnificent on track, it would often be black-flagged for noise.

I'm sure this won't be a problem though, depending on which tracks you like to frequent smile

A friend runs a few race cars CS's for customers, apparently one of the most reliable cars they have ever run, all they ever do them is basic servicing & parts that naturally wear out. That's it. They have one that's done about 10k race/track miles & never had a whisper of bother from it.

I have a CS and have notched up 5K miles since April, The cars a dream, i've owned a couple of 360's, never a 430. Decided against going to a 430 because it just didn't seem to have the same 'drama' attached to it. Never regretted the move. In terms of future values....with such a small number of CS's in the UK, the price will be determined by the number on the market at any one time.

I saw the Scuderia and heard it lapping at Fiorano 10 days ago. It's sound is simply spectacular. No-one should have any fear that a 430 Scuderia will not be noticed.

Recently changed from a 996TT to the CS,fantastic piece of kit, loving every minute of ownership.
I am changing the exhaust to a Tubi with race cams next week though,it takes too long on the standard exhaust for the valves to open.
Tyres are a pain to get hold of,still not got hold of any.

Yes...thats me biggrin

I was gobsmacked at owning a car for a year and being offered what i paid for it, I naively took the bid and regretted it thereafter. I then bought a 360 spider, then a 430 spider, both felt like girls cars and then bought a lambo gallardo in pursuit of the holy grail that was the the sound and experience of my previous stradale. Two weeks later the stradale i had always wanted came up for sale and the rest as they say is history............ smile

Ive been living with cheryl for some while now and we love each other like mad biggrin
