Any particular reason you posted that in Speed, Plod etc. or were you just hoping to drop him in it?
Drop who in it? The driver of the car is in the US. THis is a predominantly UK site.130R said:

Because of course you have never exceeded 110mph in broad daylight in the Ferrari....
There is a big difference between driving 100mph and over 200mph on a public road....at night!!! Braking distances are increased as are the chances to avoid obstacles in the road.
I'd be interested in reading how you justify it?

This was one of the safest runs I have seen and this guys runs all tend to be this way.
To be fair that road is ridiculously long, wide and save for 1 car early in the first run, completely and utterly deserted. Looked very very easy, and to be honest really quite slow in the cockpit!!
It does put it in perspective when he does the 219 fly-by just how quick he's going.
However.
I do think that the 219 flyby is artificially sped up a little. Controversial? Possibly. I think its just a bit, well tooo fast..... I know 200 is quick, but still......
Anyone else?

Camera was on the ground wasn't it? that would make it look faster. It does put it in perspective when he does the 219 fly-by just how quick he's going.

I don't know if anybody else spotted it but if you look at the start of the clip when he's on the freeway counting down the gantry shows the road as being closed?
Hmm . . that is wierd. It could be the road they are on or it could be the exit to the right that is closed. How does anybody know if there is an "investigation". Brings up the whole issue of the top speed runs done by some members here on the autobahn.
What a potent car!

There is always some busy body that comes on here after a video like that and say's "I hope they lock him........." but they are never clean enough to say that they haven't been over 70mph in traffic!! I'll bet my life that they will have had race's above 100 mph with people in broad daylight with more traffic in ten feet than in the whole of this video which i consider to be more dangerous than what that chap did!!!
The road was empty the car wasn't some CHAV'D up Nova with 17 turbos and a 100 stage NOS kit it was a car designed to be driven like that and from what i could see was as easy as doing 100mph on the M1!
But the last flyby was sped up but the sound was truely amazing

Yes..and there's always some t
tt like you who comes on glorifies such actions. As I have said, in MY opinion driving over 200mph on a PUBLIC road at NIGHT is both dangerous and irresponsible.
If anyone wants to drive at that speed, there are plenty of airfields and track days to do it on.

So please enlighten us oh track-day guru.....which track have YOU driven on where you've hit FLAT out top speed?

t is way off the mark sir!! If it had been in the day then I’d agree with you entirely! And with the exception of a certain famous race track in Germany (some of you might know which I’m talking about
) their isn't a race tack in the world where you can do what he did! just waiting to be proved wrong on that point!!!!!
