Following on from Arash's article on the Veyron linky, here's one on his 430 Scuderia order. Very funny read imo

Pretty dumb article imo. Review and opinion on car he hasn't driven yet?

So the car was paid for 3 days ago. It will be delivered to my garage and finally my collection will be pretty much complete. The car is a bit good in the shiny carbon department and the engine noise bit, but I am not sure that it will be used that often. It is kind of a tick in the box, but not really what I wanted.

Agreed. Liked his last article, this one is a little ego gone mad. He's on the same list for the P11 as me and am sure hundreds of others, he hasn't "ordered one" at all. All in all needs a little more name dropping....

He hasn't finalised his Veyron order, either.

I have to confess, I enjoyed his Veyron article but this one makes him sound a bit obnoxious. far too many name drops for my liking.

Comes across as an ar5ehole IMO.

And why would the people at Ferrari know who he is anyway. Its not like he has produced his own successful sportscar.

I am slightly confused by the article, if I was in the position to develop my 3rd production sports car I would drive and develop it to the point of near perfection, why would you need a Ferrari among the other cars??

To quote himself "The 430 Scuderia is a great, but watered down, car - not really my bag to be honest. But it will suffice for some garage eye candy."

What a tit.

Unbelievable. That is his credibility as any sort of serious car fan, let alone producer, down the pan.

Just what the hell is a "Scuderia-spec" 430 anyway?
It's either a 430 Scuderia (of which no UK example is even built yet) or it's an F430.

Someone who doesn't know the difference is not a car nut of any consequence.

Totally agree Godzilla.
The Scuderia is not in production yet in any form as we got told at the launch last night at Lancaster Ferrari, production not to start until April 2008. Only 6 pre production cars exist (less the 1 JC may have crashed!)

If that's the case, how come there are already two people who have taken delivery on F-Chat? Unless you're specifically referring to RHD.

Edit - Just read that article, and it's atrocious. You'd think they'd have a copy editor for one, and I'm assuming he writes like he speaks. Simply shocking.

That guy said he was told that there would be ~60 customer cars built in 2007
Hasn't that guy in Belgium who got one of the first 430s also got his?

I'll bet there is a LHD one at Romans/Macari before the start of Jan

Chap from Ferrari on Monday night stressed that the car was not yet in production only 6 LHD pre production cars exist was his comment. Production was not going to start until 2008, April I think he said. If that is the case how can any customer cars have been delivered?

I was also there Monday night: 12 pre-production cars have been made - one of which being the light blue car which Ferrari crashed when preparing it for Top Gear to film. He said production cars hadn't been delivered yet, but clearly the first production cars have just started to get to customers in Europe, so his information was slightly out-of-date.

UK deliveries will be beginning around about April next year. 99 cars are due to be delivered in the UK next year.

How is it that with all the people that look a car forums there are no pictures of this crashed car?
