F355 rev-limiter?

Is it true that the rev-limiter is higher in 3rd gear upwards on the F355? Its just I heard that someone had one that revved up to nearly 10,000rpm in 3rd, but only ever 8,500rpm in 1st and 2nd?

Is it a standard thing, or is this something that has been changed after-market?

What would the top speed be at 10,000 in 6th?

That V8 engine + 10,000 rpm = scrap metal. Lots of things go wonky over 9,000rpm due to the design....

Smells like BS to me.
