1st time on any forum, so hello everyone!!
I need your help, i've got a 55 plate Gallardo that i purchased brand new. Since day 1 i've always felt/heard that there has been a slight knocking from the front, the only way i could explain it is that is sound like an anti roll bar/ bush type of knock only on rough roads(most roads then!).
It's now been in to Lambo north acton 3 times for this problem and have changed wishbones/ suspension parts etc, but the problem is still there, i've heard a rumour that in 2006 they changed the suspension on Gallardos so maybe this has something to do with it?
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks James.

James are you using someone elses id as it is not the first post for this user??
as for the knocking i'm not a g expert but you really need to get the car up on a two poster ramp and have a good look about with a long bar to see what is going on. I reckon anyone with a good ammount of mechanical knowledge should be able to track down where the knocking is coming from.!!

Hi Martin, firstly sorry, that should read new to this forum, i had a Ariel atom a few years back and wrote on that forum a bit.
Yes, you'd think it would be easy enough to find, but 3 visits to lambo and still no joy!!
Anyone got a 2006 or older Gallardo with the same problems?

Had a similer problem on my Porsche. The knocking was coming from inside the damper. Replaced suspension - clunk gone.

I think on one of it's visits it also had the suspension swapped from left to right and it made a slight improvement. Anymore ideas welcome, in the new year i'll take it back in and if it means new suspension then so be it(at lambos cost), it's just not right!! until then i'm gonna enjoy my new tubi i had fitted last week!!

does it happen on full lock, if so it is the diff which can be solved with a additive in the diff oil, simple job, sounds like anti roll bar bushes to me a very common problem

Tis the anti-roll bar issue, friend had a 2004 E-Gear and it sounds like the same thing - Lambo Edinburgh could not find it first time but eventually after allot of calling/moaning, they sorted it out to there cost.

Great car by the way, its like a dream just sitting in it. I borrowed it for 2 weeks commuting to and from work and apart from averaging 13mpg, it was faultless and trully is an everyday supercar.
