Buying a grandsport

I have agreed a price on a 54 Grandsport, and really keen to get my paws on it.

Can anyone recommend a independent pre-sale check who covers Kent. Presume this inspection will also cover a finance owing check.

I know the car has have its annual services but not sure when the clutch should be replaced and if an inspection will show up these sort of (major) replacements etc.

You could try Giallo, they may do inspections. Most HPI checks on the reg should show if finance is owed or not. If you are buying a GS from a dealership or specialist, ask them to provide a measurement of the clutch wear: it can be electronically measured. I would ask for money off for anything over 50% wear.
