It could be, but would cost a reasonable amount to keep on top of maintenance. And if you don't do that, the car would look tatty tres quickly.
Very reliable cars IME (Berlinetta, very late model car, owned for over 4yrs etc), but you must (a) buy a good one to start with and (b) keep on top of it as noted above.
Ignore anyone who says using it daily would take the shine off. I never tired of driving mine and the smile never, ever wore off.
I worked out that including every single item of running cost (insurance, fuel, tax, depreciation , even an exhaust and other "upgrades" etc etc etc) mine cost me 1.48GBP per mile.
Whenever I see one a bit of me still misses mine. Awesome cars.

I see and hear this comment a lot. What is it about Ferraris? If you use a Ford, or an Audi, or a Porsche every day it won't start to look tatty, so why would a Ferrari? I hope I'm not coming across as argumentative here - I'm just genuinely curious as to why a Ferrari used every day would start to look tatty when other cars don't. Or is it simply that weathering that isn't considered as 'tattyness' on an ordinary car is more noticable on a Ferrari because Ferraris are always perceived by everyone as shiny and perfect, thus making people see it as tatty when really it's no worse than other cars that are used regularly?MitchT said:

Fair summation I think.
And also that Ferrari admit themselves that they aren't best built cars... Have you read the bit about the warning light for the suspension in the F355 handbook?
I still love it though! But I wouldn't want to use it every day. There's just something about waiting til its a nice day to take it out for a blast. The suspense all week just makes it better! Plus I would never dare park it anywhere!
