Just bought Nickster's old car!
Discussion
Well, it has been just over 2 years since I sold my utterly gorgeous F348 Spider ... and yesterday I am glad to say I returned to the fold
This time I wanted as pure as I could get hence I had a very precise criteria:
- It had to be a 348 as I personally think they are a great car with a raw edge about them which I love.
- It had to be the Berlinetta to make the most of the pure lines of the coupe.
- It had to be Rosso Corsa.
- It had to have black leather.
- It also had to be left hand drive as the seating position is just so much better.
I give you ....

The fact that it is absolutely immaculate and has been kept in stunning condition by it's current owner Andy Chadwick from the ClubScuderia forum is one thing ... and to then find out it is Nickster's old car (I clocked his Reg mark on one of the old plate transfers) just shows what a small world the P.Heads/Ferrari community is
It has Tubi and de-cat and also has the benefit of a rather splendid BMC induction system. The only change that I would like to make at some point is to find some Competizione look-a-like wheels, although the 360s are growing on me.
Many thanks to Talkwrench for travelling down to Oxfordshire with me to do the inspection and I hope to collect it on Sat 19th once my insurance clicks over to another year NCB

Delighted to be of assistance, Al. And I can confirm that this one is a superb car that will soon be even more superb!
348's really are lovely cars and still very underrated. If anyone ever doubted what a wonderful driving experience they are, drive a left hand drive - definitely the way the car was always meant to be. I have never been able to feel comfortable driving a RHD 348 but the LHD feels absolutely right. An absolute gem and generally very well built and engineered (minor elecrical gremlins aside).

Hi Guys ... thanks for all the nice words
As to the 850
who said anything had happened to the 850
Great to hear it was a good one Nick.
Antony - I actually mentioned to Vic last night that I might like to do both the 24 HRs aswell as the Classic, and as my head is still attached to my shoulders I took that as a "yes"
On that basis I may take the 850 to 24HRS and the 348 to the Classic.
Oy ... silly hats are not just for topless action you know!
Jonty - I'm over near Goole, right on the doorstep of all the empty roads

Nice one AL! Will we see it on the Eurohoon run to Italy this year? Remember there are no speed limits for fezzas in Italy!
'fraid not Brendon - It's ok for you footloose and fancy free geezers but having a wife and two young kids means that I can only do so many trips, and I want to do both Le Mans if possible.

Nick - the Challenge wheels were sold, as they were becoming a bit of a pig to keep looking good by all accounts, needing refurbing every year.
